ThermaRest repair patches: anyone got an ORANGE one?

I stupidly put a tiny hole in my very pricey ThermaRest ProLite sleep mat.

I have no problem buying the repair kit, but it looks the like the assorted patches they come with don't include a bright orange one - AND I LIKE THINGS MATCHY!

Anyone got one?

I think so.. orange at least, if not bright orange. But for pinholes I just use a drop of seamgrip instead. Added bonus that it matches any mattress.

@jameso Ooh. I hadn't heard of Seamgrip. It's hole from a thorn I'm dealing with, not a rip, so maybe I'll give that a try. Ta!

@jameso I tried the SeamGrip and it didn't work. Ah well.

Got the patch kit now. You still have a spare orange patch? Up for swapping for a green or (dark) blue? Or want a few quid? Or a charity donation? Name your price, sir.

Hi Clive, I'll have a look tomorrow, it's yours foc if I find it. Odd that seamgrip didn't work. I've used the Thermarest and Kampa versions with 100% success rate.

I used seamgrip successfully BITD on a Thermarest SIM after my mum's cat used it as a scratching post. More modern Thermarest SIMs have less foam/more cut-outs to save weight/bulk - which is why they're more prone to delamination than old skool ones, and may also affect how effective splurging glue into pinholes is, too.

Hi Clive, no orange ones here sorry. I'm sure there was one but it's not with the other tent fixing bits or in the box of camping gear. Sorry. Can you use Kampa tape? That'll match any matt as it's see through. Reliable fix for thorn holes.

I bought a bunch of clear patches for my daughters jacket from amazon, would probably do the job and not be too noticeable.
