Hi
Cold feet (and hands) spoil my winter biking. I have seelskinz, woolie boolies and many other thermal socks.
Are there any others I should try that are better?
Thanks
Good boots ? Or tape up the vents in your shoes to stop the breeze flowing.
Bigger boots/shoes. Trying to fit thicker/warmer socks into your normal shoes won't leave room for the insulation to work.
I get the same, poor circulation I guess, second half of a ride last week was painful, cold/numb feet and takes ages for them to get back to normal. Might check with the GP if there's anything behind it next week, but looking at boots for this winter.
Getting tempted myself to bite the Paypal bullet and buy a pair of winter shoes/boots, something like https://www.merlincycles.com/northwave-raptor-thinsulate-winter-mtb-shoe-105198.html (which aren't waterproof) or perhaps even https://www.merlincycles.com/northwave-raptor-artic-gtx-mtb-winter-boots-104377.html (which I think are waterproof).
If you suffer with cold feet and you're considering the Northwaves, definitely go for the Arctic ones.
I use Northwave Arctic boots which are plenty big enough for a pair of thermal socks under a pair of seelskinz or woolie boolies – but I still get cold feet – even now before it gets properly cold.
I have just ordered some rechargeable heated insoles but they get mixed reviews.

Pains me as these are £12 a pair, but they very good at keeping feet toasty.
Bigger shoes / boots - expecting to wear thicker socks and cramming your feet into your regular size shoes just restricts the circulation. Neoprene overshoes also add an insulating layer - particularly good for road shoes.
Mycoal foot warmers. They've transformed my winter riding over the last few years. Buy in bulk for the season and they're about a pound a pack. They last 4-5 hours. Bloody marvellous.
Suffer really badly and only just gave in, and bought a pair of these.....really cold yesterday and they worked a treat.
Wetsuit kayak socks made in neoprene. Wear inside your winter shoes. Neoprene overshoes good too.
Are you using SPDs or flats? I reckon all that metalwork with cleats "lets the cold in".
Also, moving your feet around on the pedals seems to help (for me, at least).

Basically this. It's one reason I like Keen sandals for winter because you can loosen off the fit around your foot quite considerably to get plenty of thick insulating socks on.
What would be nice would be a similarly constructed light shoe/boot because sandals have limitations of how much protection they offer your feet in rocky stuff. However they do drain nicely. 🙂
I usewinter boots(Shimano), woo-lie boolies with a lambswool sock underneath. Toasty 🙂
Update:
Bought some rechargeable inersoles and wore them in my NW Arctic with some thermal socks and my feet were warm all ride with them set to medium.
Going to buy some rechargeable gloves now
