Film about making the most of the weather. It is a mind game.

Pfft.

I mean it's a lovey vid, but a bit smug. Getting out in beautiful snowy highlands in winter is easy, cos it's amazing. Dragging yourself out for yet another miserable muddy windy 2 hour slog in your local woods on the same old trails, after 6 months of crap weather* even though it's now bloody JUNE and you're getting a bit sick of it, that's much harder.

* To be fair this winter wasn't too bad but in years gone by this was it. I'm ready for a bit of summer now though please thanks.

I'm just getting ready to go out, it's got that feeling of 2 summers ago where it was rainy every weekend. England the only country where winter is better than summer.

@modgrips. Fair point but you also missed the point. When you decide and have allocated time, booked a place to stay, to go somewhere then the weather turns bad then to continue on the risk it could be futile to go ahead because the roads may be blocked etc. In my case 100miles north. Some would say do something else instead.

That was what I was trying to convey. I am sure many other people are in the same situation when time is tight.

I appreciate what you are saying.

Yes that I why I moved to Scotland (feeling very smug)

Going out in persistent rain is a good way to avoid dickheads! Often even the busiest trails are empty IME.

Is there really a big contingent of all weather riders in the UK. I've only ever seen it at uplift venues, races and pre-arranged group rides, where you can't preempt the weather, even then there's always more no shows and mystery illness!

Some of the best rides I've been on, have been when it's been shit out, there's been a few horrors as well though!
