Can I just say that amongst other things we'll be raffling this

Its a one off Jennride Stoodley Pike print in Pinks, a Metre wide framed panoramic presented to you by the [s]tosser who drew it[/s] artist himself. Proceeds to the usual charidees

Right then…

We are sold out!

There will be a raffle with a couple of rather fantastic prizes including a subscription to Singletrack and a massive framed chunk of art (see above), so bring some extra pennies. All proceeds from this and the film go to charity.

The screening will be at about 8:30 which gives everyone time to buy some pints and crisps and get upstairs to the Function Room. It also gives me time to **** about with the projector.

After that we have our own room in the pub with access to the beer garden.

Team JMC will be there too selling their kit and recruiting members. Also everyone gets a free Morf (like a Buff, but not a Buff).

See you tomorrow!

Boom! We've got sitters sorted for't girls so Mrs Binners is joining me. She's digging out her Versace Safety Pin Dress to keep the Prestwich Papperazzi happy. She's asked if that bitch Paltrow is going, as she always eats all the crisps!

I hate it when Paltrow does that. I've stopped telling her which pub I'm in. Hurley too because she farts when she's had too many WKDs.

Sobered up a bit now.

Thanks to:-

Xherbivorex for shelling out the initial money.
Terrahawk for rounding up the projection kit.
Budge @ Team JMC for the free Morfs and stickers.
Binners for the excellent artwork and the raffle prize.
Singletrack for the sub that we gave away. (eventually)
The people who made the film because it was really rather good.
Tom at The Church Inn.
You lot for turning up.

I like the idea of showing a film about an underground movement in the upstairs room of a pub full of people that ride pushbikes in the dark. It sort of fitted in with the spirit of it all.

Nice one Harry! Great night last night. Nice to catch up with a few people I've not seen for yonks, and the film was really good! And I absolutely agree that the upstairs room of the Church was the perfect venue.

Did anyone else notice The Enigma as he melted into the night. He's not real, you know. He's a hologram who can only be generated for an hour at a time

It wouldn't be hora if he stayed for a whole event/bike ride would it?

Top night Harry. Thanks again to you and Mr Moore for making it happen.

And I really am quite envious of Craig for winning that binners artwork. I tried to convince him that it would look much better in my dining room but he was having none of it.

Ended up getting a taxi to Littlebrough and got rescued by Mrs Daz. I decided hanging around in Rochdale wasn't a good idea when I was accosted by a pissed young lad waiting for his mates who wanted to know what sort of drugs I had taken. This isn't the first time this has happened in Rochdale, they seem peculiarly obsessed by what other people may or may not have imbibed to survive a night out.

Top night out.

Cheers to Andy and Andy.

I'm sure Hora isn't real and is just a weird form of poltergeist that manerfests it's self when a group of mountain bikers gather.

If I'd not seen him I wouldn't believe he ever existed

I'll be honest I was expecting a average Brit film. What it was was a subtle, loveable, cheerful, endearing and well shot piece. I warmed to all and I now know where to find Geoff Apps house key. The bloody eccentric batshit crackers fella 😀

Very informative and apparently it's on Vimeo for a rewatch.

You could see the passion, the film maker captured alls passion; Islabikes founders passion for one. Ace.

Next time I'll leave the car at home so I don't have to endure a shandy again 8)

Thank you guys for organising this. Muchly enjoyed.

How would you know? You beamed up after 15 minutes!

Also, Geoff Apps knows where you keep your house keys.

Geoff came across as a complete star, especially when he appeared in his tweeds.

Yep, tis me getting in Warner's way and riding like a donkey, and a couple of other bits. Seemed like a fun way to support the film, and was also a cracking day out. 🙂

Glad the night went well. I'd have loved to be there too but things have been a bit mental for the past month or so, and I couldn't make it (I missed the premiere too, which was part of the perk, well annoying).
