Better late than never but pity it's only been brought on by being so close to their home
Not sure about the first point in their manifesto:
"Trucks entering a city centre should be required by law to fit censors"
I guess HGV drivers can be pretty foul-mouthed, but I'm not sure how having to carry an extra bloke just to parp the horn every time they say a rude word will help cyclists' safety.
point 1: Times can't spell.

In November, Times journalist Mary Bowers was just yards from arriving at work on her bike when she was hit by a lorry. Mary, 27, is still not conscious and is making a slow recovery in hospital.
Still good for them even if its a it of bandwagon jumping its the kind of thing we need
8 pt manifesto is good - even includes the 20 mph speed limit 🙂 _ a fave of mine.
the backlash starts tomorrow 🙂
I suspect there will be a lot of anti bike backlash so it might be useful to make outr feelings known
More than 27,000 cyclists have been killed or seriously injured on British streets in the past 10 years.
Eh?
http://www.rospa.com/roadsafety/adviceandinformation/cycling/facts-figures.aspx
In 2011 111 were killed.
"killed or seriously injured"
"Eh? In 2011 111 were killed."
Those are 2010 figures. And 2771 were killed or seriously injured (The Times's figure covers both) in that year.
"8 pt manifesto is good"
Not if your eyesight's deteriorated - I'd like it a little larger.
seriously injured means (usually) overnight in hospital so any concussion or neck injury or many broken bones
