Love Kirroughtree and did the first one but haven't got round to entering since (often clashes with holidays). Must make the effort this final time.
£10 is an absolute bargain!
I've done this the last two years and can't impress on people enough how nice an event this is - the Galloway Hillbillies put on an event with great competition at the front, but a really chilled out and nice atmosphere for people just giving it a go. The course is great, too - best of the endurance race courses in the UK I think.
That is an absolute bargain. Did a very damp edition of this many years ago now (the one where they had to sack it early due to bad light). Halfway tempted to enter, despite having entirely the wrong kind of fitness and nothing resembling an optimal bike.
I did that one. Nearly took out one of the organisers who was trying to re tape a particularly challenging off camber descent, I had very little control over the direction I was taking.

That’s my kind of race, ride for 3hrs and then look scratching head at bike as to what to do for the remaining 7hrs 😂
TBH I love Kiroughtree and that’s a bargain entry price !
