Just bought the bb mount XCR chain device to use on a single ring setup. Can i still use my bash guard or not?

is it dead obvious how? i.e. does the cage of the chain device sit inside the the edge of the bash guard

36t ring and 38t bash - be ok?

Depends on the size you have I suppose. Mine is on a 34t ring with a similiar sized bash (36t?).
