Barlow Pass.
Skinwall lovers.I am building a new bike and am looking for some lovely 30 or 32mm ideally skinwall road tyres. no need to be completely slick. I am flexible.
I would rather not be spending £50 and end if I can help it.
Any recommendations?
Panaracer pasela come recommended, but only upto 28mm, cheaper though.
Compass tyres also get recommended a lot, but are a bit more spendy.
I ran out of ££ and just stuck Conti sport contacts on my bike, couldn't justify the skinwall tax.
Panaracer pasela go up to 38 or 40..I have the 32, but there's variations PT, tour guard etc.
They're comfortable but not quick.
I have some 28c paselas to sell, done 50 miles. Email in profile.
Paselas or Challenge Strada Biancas would be my choice.
Compass are too spendy and come with too many stories of fragility for me.
My Stradas are doing very well. A few knicks from flints, and one had a delayed puncture the other day, but the flints around here would shred almost anything so I'm pretty happy overall.
They roll better and handle better than anything else of that ilk. In a skinwall ilk, that is!
Pavé-tough Turbo Cottons in a 28mm.
YUM.
Not got the clearance for those so will stick with my 'standard' turbo cottons

Skinwall plus aluminium braking surface should be against the velominati rules urghh
Anyone know of a source of Halo H-Block SLR skinwalls? I can find the wire skinwalls or the SLR in black but not the magic combo.. Failing that, is there a similar kevlar-beaded skinwall in 26"?
Gave my summer road bike a proper servicing this weekend, new drive chain, new bar tape and most importantly, new tyres. I bloody love skinwalls on deep carbon wheels. Observations on the state of the decking (rotting), windows (dirty) and bike (gate like and covered in logo's) are gratefully received.
That looks gorgeous, lunge. Very, very nice. 8)
"None of them ^ work. Gopping.
I think silver rims and a light coloured bike are the only way you can make them look decent"
Just for you
