Unsustainably high levels of Stoke being experienced here in Hove.

No I mean I don't get the video. Is it supposed to be funny? Are they marketing a new bike directly to Stravassholes who like to straightline everything? (makes sense I suppose).

I strongly suspect 'Straightline' will be the villain and Rocketman will save the day.

It's not *that* complex a plot is it?

yes it another tongue in check, take the piss (vid) out of some riders who can't go round corners, mess up the trail for everyone else etc... and then rocket man to save the day!

Not sure I like the implication being made here regarding riders of green Cotics. 😐 😉

Looking forward to the main feature though...

i wonder if Rocketman is still riding his 26er?

is Straightline's wheel-choice affecting his ability to corner?

how many kittens will be killed by this thread?

glad I'm not the only one. It's just nonsense, maybe an in joke amongst cotic owners?

That's a really nice looking bike. I wish it was like the old days where I could buy the frame and swap everything over from my Bfe.

Someone spent money to have that made.

I once almost got taken out by a guy a Warncliffe, there's a a set of switchbacks down a bank with a straighline drop over then, unfortunately the guy behind me must have taken his eyes off me for a second and went for the drop, just as I was going under the take off!

true story

Yup. It's not exactly Rocket science is it? (see what I did there 😀 ). There's a lot of trails around here (Sheffield) getting trashed by people either cutting corners or riding them when the ground is absolutely piss wet and cutting them to shreds. If it makes riders think a bit harder about where and how they ride - all good

Is it supposed to be funny?

It's hilarious! So truly awful its funny again (think Bollywood style). Helps I know a lot of the "actors" (I use the word loosely) involved...

Someone spent money to have that made.

And you've watched it and are talking about it, so getting the product more attention. Money well spent!

(if Rocketman can't find a 26" Rocket to ride, I'll lend him mine...)

That is funny.

And I miss Park Hill flats. There, I said it. Odd, but they were 10 years of daily commute view and work for mrs_oab 😕

Well I like it, so there.

There's only really one trail I can think of that's been ruined by Straightline.
From Win Hill down to the Ladybower plug hole through the woods.
Last year = mint grin-inducing swoopiness
This year = where did all those swoops go?

Funny. Were any socks harmed in the making of this film?

Someone spent money to have that made.

Agreed. I've seen worse production levels on some British cinematic releases.
Good stuff.

I dunno. Yes, the production values are high, but I get the feeling that this is all done by mates having a laugh, experimenting, supporting each other and producing something they are proud of. I bet the actual money changing hands is not the main motivation.

I straightlined a kid and his dad out riding at the weekend - I felt awful 😳

Our [s]trailbuilder group[/s] vigilante gang spends a lot of time battling Straightline wherever we meet him. Never thought the **** rode a Cotic though!

(everyone knows he rides for Canyon surely?)

Obviously not watched The Incredibles...after that everyone knows that wearing a cape is a terrible move for a superhero!

That would work over here on the south island too.

Took me a while to get the video - initially I thought Straightline and Rocketman were the same person which made for a very confusing plot.

😕

The original.

I would very much like a rocket but at 1500 quid, it's not happening.

Can't help but think the Rocket's full suspension must really help when riding Sheffield's roads to get to the trails.

I thought they'd recently spent a fortune resurfacing Sheffield's roads? Has the weather broken them up again already?

We going to have to re-watch Incredibles this evening now… the boy has been off school ill, so needs cheering up. Agree that the costume scene is full of sage advice about capes…
