I've got about a dozen splined tools for removing BBs, cassettes, chainrings, etc, but none of them fit this! As it's their crank, I looked at E*Thirteen's site and it said a Shimano TL-FC39 (£60 @ Tredz!!) - bought one (ebay bargain: £35!). Way too big. So I've now ordered an ebay one that looks right. Is it?

What's the official tool?

Depends which motor it is on....the newer shimano ep801 uses the LRT-4 or the more expensive shimano specific one at £60 !!!

OMG there's more! It is a Shimano EP801 motor. I think the ebay one I've got on order is LRT-4 copy, so should be good.

I presume the number after the FC is the diameter of the lockring... why would they make a 41mm AND a 43mm? It's bleedin crazy!

PArk list the "standards" Here. So the pic of the LRT-4 appers to match my setup... so if the bargain RISK tool I've ordered isn't right, then I know which one to splash the cash on. Pretty sure the RISK will be worth it though (Arf!).
