Wouldn't have fancied encountering it on my motorcycle at night..
Where was the rider?
If you want potholes come to the capital of the country for them BLOODY Gloucestershire. That would be a nightmare on a motorbike at night crazy.
That's not a pot hole it's a bloody landslip.
I thought Sheffield always won the UK pothole championships.
PLEX MOSS LANE, in Lancashire, part of the TPT, route 62, its an actual real road, not a byway or bridleway, and after numerous emails to the councillors and council it has been resurfaced .
Project,I don't know if you guessed or worked it out but that photo I posted was from the resurfaced Plex Moss Lane...
Got to say Drac's out trumped me with that one.
Wow, that road has really sunken.
With the recent road investment, longstanding potholes should be a thing of the past.

Hahahahahaha. [cough]utter bollocks[/cough]
This country has the sort of perfect storm of rubbish weather (which knackers the roads, especially winters where the temperature drifts between about -2 and +1°C), woefully low road maintenance budget linked to a very patchwork approach to fixing things, high traffic volumes and a network of infrastructure largely buried under roads (thus necessitating digging them up every few months) that means it will never have a decent road surface.
I've just come back from a week's road riding in Portugal and for one of the poorest countries in the EU with no real economy to speak of, their roads are brilliant. Perfect tarmac, super grippy, not a ripple in it. Bliss.
Yebbut how much ice do they get breaking up wet tarmac in Portugal?
aracer - Mam Tor? (finally one I can get!)
Andyl, yes it is.
Drac; Rothbury - Pauperhaugh road? Surely looks better than that now?
Which end of Plex moss lane, the caravan site end or the canal end
Don't forget heavier, not just more, traffic.
Canal end of Plex Moss Lane,a few hundred metres after the bridge that goes over the disused railway line.
someone local has taken to spraying an ejaculating cock and balls around each pothole
see how long it is before they get repaired
No far wore but they have started on it.
Thought it was due to be done by August? That would be optimistic.
