I am wanting to try one of these one, but none of my local (<100mile away) bike shops stock them.
I am willing to take the plunge, order online and send it back if it is not right. But I need some help on sizing, Specifically from people who own them.
I have a 56.5cm head and am unsure about whether I should try a small (55-56cm) or a medium (57-58cm) so would like to know if they come up, big/small/spot on?
Does the padding compress over time or is it fairly rigid?

55cm here and I use a small. Tried a small Fox and Specialized and found them both more difficult to get on and off, although fine once fitted.

Would you say it's a snug or roomy fit on you? Could it be a bit bigger or smaller and still fit you ok?

To be honest Alex I'd say it was a damn near perfect fit for me - nice and snug. For 56.5mm I'd go for the medium.
57cm here and medium fits well.
quality isnt great though, paint is made from cheese, and ive had visor bolt inserts fall out so the visor falls off (fixed under warranty though)

I tried a medium and it was too roomy
I tried on a Fox rampage in small, it fitted ok, but maybe a bit snug in places. How did the fit compare to the THE one?

Fox definitely felt more snug than the THE and was noticeably tighter when getting it off. I'm not helping much am I 😉 . I guess if the small Rampage felt OK then the small THE should be fine.
