Dry, Sunny, riding in Shorts & T shirt until 10pm with no lights, Kom’s, cups and Beer. Nice Wednesday night trail club over the Purbecks last night.
Cycled out to Loch of Skene on Tuesday night.
Was a lovely ride but a bit too much of it was on road for my liking. I'll have to check some maps for next time to seek out more gravel routes/farm tracks.
Also fell into a cattle grid whilst trying to get my bike under a gate 😀

Got the 4 corners of Dunkeld done finally.
Most high points are still in trees so views not as good as they could be but you get the idea.
Should probably have done Cairn to Cottage for the cairn pic but fancied the other side of Craigvinean while it's dry.

New tyres on and a quick lowers service at lunchtime and a few damp miles, tyres are not as draggy as I expected, but the grip is impressive already.
Over the Purbecks last night, riding down to Old Harry there was a Marines Helicopter out on manoeuvres, as we we’re about to entertain Garlic woods, it came over landed next to us, then buggered off again.
No pictures from last nights ride, but it was nice to not have to clean mud off everything. Hopefully it will stay like that for a while.

It’s coming! Managed an hour post work riding tonight before turning the lights on, and the best sunset of the year so far.

Had to take the completed Iroko for a test spin, despite the fact I should be resting my knackered leg.

Woke up early and it was a beautiful sunrise so I thought I'd get up and take the hardtail for a jaunt down the valley. It's set up as with slicks as a commuter at the moment and hasn't been out for ages, because who commutes any more? It's just, like, sooooooo 2019, yeah?
I stuck to tarmac today, but I'm shoving the Small Block 8's on it at lunchtime so I can take some local bridleway detours for morning spins in this forecast decent weather

This pic is very boring.
However it does mean 2 things
1) silverfish have warrantied/fixed my very squishy / noisy X2
2) we went to the pub and sat in the beer garden for the first time in 2022. Outside post ride beer is an important box ticked.

All riding is great, right. But sometimes you get those rides that just hook up to perfection. Just 80 minutes last night. Local trails. Fast and dry and grippy, not yet too dusty. Twisty rooty singletrack. Gravel bike just riding really well. Me feeling great. Gorgeous early evening sun. Trees starting to burst with green. Bluebells out.

Portland last night, always a favourite little route.
Yesterday, borrowed my brother’s old hardtail and went for a quick explore around his villa in Spain
Today, up the mountain, this photo at 1240m, with brothers friend on his spare Orbea Wild. OMG this is an ebike in it’s element. Such a great ride. Another on Saturday. Looking directly towards Gibralta and Morocco
First one must remove the sleeping spider.
I'd go for a run and hope the house had finished burning down by the time I got back
Went to watch some riding last night instead of going riding myself.
Not really a roady type of person but it was actually pretty intense racing until the field got split by a crash.
Plenty of bar banging/brushing the barriers and pedal strikes going on.
First lap was pretty calm.

Took my Pact out for a spin round some local woods after doing a full fork service. Quite amazing how lovely it all feels again. I guess I just gradually get used to decreasing performance.
