as title - would my smudge (mtb batteries) lumenator light battery work with the 5000 lumen light (connectors and power)
bump
TBH the best person to ask is Smudge... he knows about MS batteries/connector and the alternatives.
Why just why would you want to do this? The SS X2 is hardly going to be a ground breaking upgrade, as they run similar if not the same LED (yes drivers count but even so...).
PS: If you embarrassed about asking him, why post this on a very public forum?
I emailed smudge/mtbb about this(ish) a week or so ago - no reply yet, not sure if he's around
why would i be embarrased??? I want to keep a unit on my road bike and one on my MTB helmet and use the same better battery
Then why ask here?
Ask Smudge he has more knowledge of batteries than anyone else on here (IME), and specific knowledge of the light/battery & MS connectors...
because he has not answered an email that is a week old - what is the ****ing problem?
Expert vs internet expert... there the issue I'm try to address, not a problem.
At no point did you say you'd emailed him...
hows about .....? BTW it does work and thanks for the nobbiness!
Not sure I have seen your emails to be honest, I am currently getting approx 60+ a day and some may well get missed - Priority is getting paid orders out first/ emails second and even those are now getting graded to replies... Remember it is just me at the moment. and if I havent replied, please feel free to give me a nudge and ask again.
Battery & Light wise, so long as they are both the same working Voltage there is no real reason why it wont work.. apart from the capacity of the battery would effect the light time... and off course the connectors issue.
The Lumenator is a 7.5V 6.6Ah battery for your references.
But like I said if I havent replied, just send me a gentle nudging email again..
Thanks
Smudge
