A big thanks to CynicAl for building these up for me.

There are few feelings like the first spin around the block on a new set of wheels.

I've some fond memories of touring through the dawn in the States and riding late into the evenings to find rural youth hostels in the Netherlands. A touring bike really needs good lights, with no fuss dynamo power. I might switch the Edelux for a Busch and Muller lamp with the USB charging port in time.

I might plan an autumn hosteling trip before winter sets in.

For charging while riding look at the Axa Luxx 70 plus http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/axa-luxx-70-plus-steady-auto-front-light/aid:642351 I have been using one for a while now and it is pretty good.

This was the light I was thinking of, though it looks like the Axa one does much the same thing and is a bit cheaper. I had read the Busch & Muller one was brighter than the Edelux which appealed.

The B&M is much brighter than the AXA, for anything more than tarmac I would go not use the AXA the beam is too focused, I am hoping Exposure will add charging to the smart port on their Revo unit.
