Haven't had a 'proper' road bike for a while but had been wanting to add one to my fleet for ages, so when this rather lovely De Rosa came up on the classifieds for a decent price, I jumped at the chance and snaffled it up:

Finally had an opportunity to go for a decent spin today and 'straight out of the box' she fit me pretty well, no real adjustments needed. Will take a while to get used to the roadie position again after so long on MTB's, but I'm sure it'll come back to me in time...
Had forgotten just how nice it is to cruise along effortlessly on a good road bike, and then, when you put the hammer down, how sweet is the feeling of acceleration and agility?! It's such a joy to feel the efficient conversion of your effort into forward motion and speed, gives you a real buzz in your body's power and strength and encourages (and challenges) you to put in more, more and more till you're legs are jelly, your lungs are aching and your heart is pounding so hard and fast that it feels like a blur in your chest, 'tis superb fun!
mmmm.... i like that. CD rims finish it off.
cheers James, it is a lovely bike, really like the colour scheme as well!
BTW all, wasn't posting this thread as another 'oh, that kn0b Psychle has another bike 🙄 ' thing, more as an attempt (a poor one it seems!) to wax lyrical re. the darkside... feel free to join in 😉
