Waiting for a new bike I ordered at the end of Feb. Needless to say I was expecting to have had it by now and it's looking like it'll not be this week either. At this point I'm considering requesting a refund and ordering something else.

Misery loves company so, anyone else hanging around for stuff?

Yes! Well kind of...

I've just sent my commuter back (PX LR) for a warranty issue, the weekend bike is on slicks so anything less than dry is ridiculously slippery so I'm on the train with other people!! 🙁

ordered in Feb? Out of curiosity what is it your getting? I'm too impulsive for that and availability is a big part in frame choice.

OP. In the art of waiting - you are but an amateur... 😉

Early-September to late-March. That's proper waiting!

It'll be out of fashion/littered with obsolete standards by the time it arrives

And that's why I didn't order a YT Tues to replace my stolen Demo.

After a few weeks of no bikes, there was no way I was waiting any longer especially with the dry trails due!

Have never waited very long for a bicycle but have waited months for motorcycles

Longest was probably October-August I rode the wheels off that sucker when I finally got it

Another one saw the dealership go into admin while I was waiting, prob 8 months. I got the bike but never gelled with it and I sold it on

Waited months for a Focus as well when they first came out. The company I worked for at the time had quite a presence in the automotive industry and a contact at the Ford plant informed me that they were busy making 5000 dark blue 5-doors for Hertz and my red 3-door would be along ASAP 😕

I ordered my new bike at the start of April, with it supposed to arrive by the end of that month. It's now scheduled to arrive in the UK on the 19th of May and at the bike shop a day or two after that. It's not so much the wait more that the wait is longer than I was told it would be, that I find frustrating.

Grrrr, third unavoidable house move in last 8 months is happening now, means I'm cruising to close to the edge. Having to offload bikes as need cash and storage. The one saving grace is doing a deal on a Monstercross: The One Bike to Save My Mid-life Life. A deposit has been made and I finally get it once have sold other bikes, packed, moved halfway across England and unpacked. And not before. **squeak**

Well, my wait is now over. I suspect, however, that the wait to actually ride it for the first time (Sunday eve at the earliest) will be almost as torturous as the wait for it to arrive 😥
