I casually mentioned that I needed to build a bike for my lad. He's 5'8" now and needs an adult bike. He's been riding round on his mum's Spesh' Hardrock, but it is too cramped for him. Anyway, it was discussed on the MNPR WhatsApp and so far today I've had a frame (Blue Inbred) and offers of a dropper, saddle, pedals and a couple of "I've got loads of kit, what do you want?" type messages.

Thanks Kai, Phil, Ed, Adam, Jason and Steve.

Your all good guys, and when the World is turning to shit it is lovely to know that people like you are out there.

PS. If his bike ends up better than mine I'm keeping it for myself.

I think it’s a telling reflection of how much perfectly serviceable kit we’ve all got sat around in our garages and sheds 😃

Built my daughter a fantastic bike up from generous folks on here a few years back. Her brother's got a few upgrades as well

Should you find yourself (well, your son) in need of an 80mm stem, 720mm flat bar, 27.2mm seatpost and Selle Italia saddle (brand new or very lightly used - just waiting for the new bar to arrive on Monday or Tuesday), you/he can have mine. I can’t be bothered selling them. All (apart from the saddle) are branded Promax.
I’ll post them or ride over with them - you’re North Manchester aren’t you? Assuming you want them, of course.

Your not wrong. I had pretty much a spare bike.

Anyone need any 26" forks?

20 odd years in mountain biking, i have a garage full of weird and wonderful bits, always happy to loan out any tools, or give them away if i don't use them or have duplicates, same with the mountain of bike bit spares, always happy to pass them on to someone who can use them if they've been around a while, just now i have bars, stem, saddles, etc that i just haven't been able to put on a bike in 2 years due to sizing and so on, had them on a bike but had to remove them due to the one bit that was the wrong size.

...and Rusty Spanners and Clubby from the Tamiya thread who sent me a motor and a steering rack.

@harry_the_spider If the forks are still available, I'd be interested. I'm building a couple of bikes for some friends (nurse and another key worker, they don't know yet) after asking for a a frame a couple of weeks ago for a project. I'm going through what I got this morning and was going to put up a wanted ad for some bits and bobs later for things. I gave all my spares away last year to a couple of different forumites lol.

Right then Gnussy,

Manitou Splice Elite and Marzocchi 33. 190mm steerer tubes.

Both in need of some TLC hence the reason for them being taken off the bikes in the first place.

DMed you with more details.

Two forks on their way to Gnus to be built up into bikes for someone else.

Karma Circle is complete.
