Anyone know if the evil following has landed in the uk yet and if anyone had a demo bike to try out. Trying to decide between one if these or an ibis Ripley. What evil customer support like in the uk ? Slightly concerned it's not going to be a patch on ibis
Current official delivery date is the 12th May, can't comment on support from Evil, though Silverfish the UK distro are hardly new to this kind of thing
There have already been tolerance issues reported on pinkbike/mtbr with the Following.
I'd go with the Ibis considering Evils track record of producing crackey out of tolerance pieces of shit.
12th May?? 12th March I hope!
There's 2 reports of issues in the first batch, both of which have been rectified or being rectified by Evil. Ive got enough trust in it that I've ordered one.
I also think after sales is likely to be comparable between the 2 based on their uk distributors.
The bikes themselves seen quite different beasts though, there is folk on mtbr ridden both so might be worth digging round there for some info.
12th March I hope
you know it is April now... 🙂
Ha, yeah, 12th April......someone will get the date right eventually!
Also, on demo bikes, I wouldn't hold your breath. When I spoke to Silverfish a while back I didn't get the impression they were likely to have any.
Lol, oops yes meant April 😳
So who is bankrolling evil?
Their first attempt saw them having to refund every single customer?
I'm not sure how you'd explain that to the bank manager when you asked for a loan for doing it all again ?

All of their bikes have either had massive tolerance issues, or frame cracking issues.
It's not Kevin's only business, he has a successful design business that seems much larger in size than the bike company, there's only 3 of them in the bike side as far as I know. No idea if it ends up being "bankrolled" but its certainly not his only source of income.
Tom....I'm not sure what you're trying to prove, that I can't use Google? Yes they come with "baggage", but rather than rely on forum threads ive spoken to enough owners and at length to Evil themselves about issues and what is being done to rectify them, based on that I've got confidence enough to buy one. If you wouldn't be convinced then that's fine!
