There's been a lot of hedge cutting using rotating flail up in Yorkshire lately. This means lots of hawthorn debris on roads and tracks, which means lots of punctures. I have been through 4 inner tubes in the last 2 rides and it's starting to wind me up. Clearly there is a need to cut hedges rapidly but spraying the road with dangerous thorns isn't on.
Are there any guidelines on this? Is there an acceptable face to flailing?
