You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Post your pics from rides over the Christmas period.
A fairly warm dry and grey Christmas Eve on the Purbecks.

Just a simple 10 mile loop with the council Cycle for Health group this morning, though the day time ride and chip cobs at the pub to finish tempted out a few who haven't ridden for a 2-3 months and it showed.
Anyway, 35 of us out, many festive costumes, the winners being Mick and Maureen - combined age over 160 years young - who had decorated their electric tandem as a sleigh, dressed as Santa and an elf, and absolutely wowed all the families with young kids out walking as they passed.
Anyway, sadly only one semi decent pic, so from Clan Morecash to all of you 'orrible lot, I hope you have a safe and peaceful Christmas period, whether you celebrate or not.

Quick spin out to test the brakes, Trails were slippery AF, weather was surprisingly decent though!

An early stack from work today meant a quick ride at Drumtochty and an beautiful sunset.

No commitments for me today, so another ride was in order, so I headed off to Ballater.
Heartbreak Ridge and Mastermind on tired legs was hard going and it was blowing a hoolie higher up. I nearly lost the front wheel from under me a couple of times because of the wind.

No pictures from me, but a lovely wee loop this morning taking in the nearest bits to me in Dunblane. Properly set me up for Christmas day as it does every year. Have a lovely Chrimbo everyone.

1st time for years I've got to ride on Christmas day. Freakishly warm out there too.
Got a longer ride planned for tomorrow to the in laws for lunch

Top of the first climb. Broken freehub.
Can you tell who was continuing and who was returning?
Still got a weird viral type thing going on so just a quick 1300 meter ebike ride with Mrsstu.

Christmas eve wetfest

Clearing the hangover this morning. Met some very tame and curious sheep. Great to be out.

GF finally got her new bike mucky, bars to trim and cables/hoses to shorten

Just spent a day at a bike park.
Reeksy1 was considering this sizeable drop.
We both did it in the end.
This is the location:
A wee ride on Xmas day.

great inversion on Dartmoor yesterday. was like a summers day above the fog.

Xmas Eve is traditionally an ice cream seaside stroll for me.

Xmas Day was an early outing. Treated to a stunning sunrise this year!

Well, I've actually had a good run of it over the festive period.
For the first time in years, managed to ride on Christmas Day, only just over an hour, but set me up in a positive frame of mind for MiL-managenent!
Then, a longer (just over 2 hours) ride on Boxing Day. Trails unbelievably busy with Muggles ...
And finally, up at Stainburn this morning with my two sons and a regular riding mate ...
I'm about set up for spending all of tomorrow sat down driving to and from Chester seeing rellies...

A walk for me today, but an unsuspecting rider photo bombed me, so........
First ride out over the Christmas holidays this afternoon above Accrington. Not half wet mind. Photo reminded me of Halloween more than Christmas
Gisburn today for the first time in years. Enjoyed it despite the tubeless fail and having to use my insert as a hans device haha

Another local trail scouting session. At this time of year when the undergrowth has all died back there seem to be cheeky bits of slippery twisty singletrack EVERYWHERE, the challenge is just having the legs to pedal as much of it as possible (and not to rip your mech off like I did today 😥 )

And I was also at stainburn today funnily enough. There was someone else there on not-hardtail. Oh it was @hardtailonly and his spawn.
I stayed a bit longer and got a few more laps in. The mist dropped and I got a great inversion over the Washburn valley 🙂

I also had a bit of a mess about with the DJI Neo I accidentally bought off of the PSAs and got a great photo looking north over swinsty and fewston.

Rubbish views, but I was delighted to have a short ride after being off the bike for a few weeks with back pain.

The religion that is Singlespeed. Salisbury urban + rural route with Mr B.

Classic Gap ride. Do this every year between xmas and new year. Last three years the weather has been biblically bad! Rain, hail, 40mph winds etc, so today we had payback other than having to trail-saw our way through significant storm damaged trees on one section. Always love this route, feels too short in summer, but perfect on a cold winters day.

Birthday play in the woods for me today. Proper ride of Cutgate on Monday.
A very mixed terrain ride with Reeksy1. Nasty tech hill climb, moto singletrack through the trees, lots of gravel, cake, mtb singletrack, a Christmas drop bear, more gravel, a few kms of tar. Finished with a swim in the pool. Very hot but a solid ride enjoyed by us both.

A quick morning out in the mist on the beacon ridge to the dyke. Hip flask along to warm the cockles at the wildflower cafe. The sun "came out" at the beacon

Great to be back on singletrack, after my back issues this month.

Old school at Glentress today, surprisingly busy.
Still can't seem to shake this cough/rough lung thing.
No pictures of the ride as I didn't want to hang around and get cold so here's a picture of the ride.

Today's ride was wetter, windier and muddier than expected. I thought things were drying out a bit but no. A fair bit of this.....

Great to get outside and it not be thick fog and visibility isn't down to 2 metres! 1st ride for 5 days that I haven't needed a waterproof jacket to keep dry due to the water vapour. It might as well have been raining the last week.
A lot warmer out today, just rescued a runaway horse. No idea where the rider was but I handed it to a very pissed off small fat man in a 4x4 who was out looking for it. Never a dull day!
Some deep dark woods in North Yorkshire this morning... Lots of trees down after recent storms but the trail builders have been very busy sorting it all out. Props to them. Only 1 trail I tried today was impassable. Huge berm line has gone in on one of the other runs through also - mint!
Went out early due to family meal planned this afternoon, had the whole place to myself until right at the very end. Top ride!

A lovely early Peak Jacob's Ladder loop today

Only a brief window this morning, keeping it simple and straightforward on the SS gravel bike. Trails in pretty good shape (Leeds) for the time of year. Bike's dirty but only due to the accumulation of about 5 mucky rides now.
Out in the Peak. Bit windy. Trails are holding up quite well considering what the weather has been like for the last few weeks.

Few local trails from the back door.

Another nice one from the Peak District today

An awesome day at Revs!

It was flat calm and mild yesterday so headed out to the coast - it’s my usual ride in the summer to see the guillemots but it’s usually too windy to enjoy in December.

A fab ride to hit up my 5000km annual ride target. Some sun, a cold wind later on, some damp leaves and one trail of epic mud near the end. That end being in the pub. A very happy Monday 🙂

A great afternoon exploring some more of my local back lanes on the Camino. The winter sun shone, the Shropshire countryside put it's lippy and party frock on and all was well with the world 🙂

above hebbers.

One from my mate Trusty. When you run out of skills, bravery and tyres, deploy the #endurotripod 🙂

Managed to get up to Cutgate yesterday. Ridiculously windy to the point my Brother got blown over twice in some of the nadgery Singletrack gullies. We loved it though!
Local tech/fun in the pockets of woods in the north Leeds suburbs this morning with a couple of mates, including @el_boufador ... Great way to see out the year and drrryyyy trails (although the next 36 hours looks set to ruin that!)
A couple from Sunday. Including a very expensive hole which meant weirdly quite stretches of Burnley Rd
