Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all those who turned out.

Had a great day, and the weather made the riding all the more fun.

Really, really good to see you out Tony.

If anyone wants to see the remaing 50% of the forest, then sing out- I'll gladly show you it all.

( well, the bits I know, anyway...)

😀

Oh,and good work Dave for getting this all squared away.

Yep great day out today, enjoyed the company and the banter, think ton is happier now. Mr Teetosugars I will be going on holiday but will be up from some more exploring in the forest. I'll email my mobile number as it will be easier to arrange stuff

See this what STW is good at lots of people meeting up and having a ride. Wasn't going to work out for getting there I had last weekend away and Mrs would have been most displeased, that and Hora would have lost his place at the back on the climbs.

Glad you all had fun.

Yep, Was brilliant. Nice to put some names to faces and I'll see if I can't cut some of the vids I took together over the next few days. Just have to decide yet, do I use Hansen, Mm Bop as the backing track after the discussion up by they 4x track, or some Take That after the where did Gary Barlow live extended discussion between me and Teetosugars. 😀

especially after reading the reports and seeing the pics/vids so far...
glad you all had a good day though. delamere's a lot of fun when you know where the good stuff is (or when you go there with nick and he knows where the fun stuff is!)

Lipseal, if you go to my post with the photo's on, the link will take you to my flikr account, from there you should be able to download what you want, I've not changed any settings so they should be fine for people to help themselves, if not drop me a mail, address in profile and we'll sort it that way.

Long before that Wythenshawe in a small house.

oh and while I think on, quote of the day:

"have you got 999 on speed dial"

"No, but I've got Dominos, is that any good?"

In true STW style we all set off and within minutes the group gets lost/accidently split up. Always makes me chuckle.

I know that Jason Orange lived in Dunham Massey for a while. I'm sure Gary is wealthy enough to have sevaral houses.

According to numerous sources on the internet (so it must be true / untrue / government propaganda / the divine will of the FSM) Gary Barlow, once famous, bought a large house in Cheshire... it never really specifies where... he then went on to buy Delamere Manor ( http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?ftid=0x487afb1ca8f7892d:0x7c01760cdd6dffd1&q=delamere+manor&hl=en&sll=52.37482,-2.396854&sspn=2.070552,0.546467&ie=UTF8&ll=54.001312,-5.932617&spn=0,0&t=h&z=7) .... which he sold several years later for a whopping profit. In fact, I think it's on the market now for sale or rent ( http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-33442670.html)

However, I can't find evidence that the house he bought is the disputed one ( http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=53.255806,-2.699694&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=6.881357,14.941406&num=1&t=h&z=19)

is he still using "i have to go to John Lewis" excuse?

mtb's were 100mm max travel and everyone used vert-pro's the first time he used that excuse.

I said bye to 5 people and shook hands. TBH I may have been swayed and stayed if I'd remember to bring some money as I didn't fancy sitting there whilst you all munched at the food break. 🙁

Next time -could we ride that ravine thing? 🙂

I can confirm that there was indeed a whole world of faffing by Binners on his move over to Ramsbottom. Sorry to have missed it I was looking forward to meeting everyone I haven't as of yet!

The take that member who lived in plumley was either Jason or Howard.
That may also be the case.
But I know for a fact that Gary lived in the very large house by the station (with indoor swimming pool) because I made the curtains for the lady that bought it from him.
Cough - I need to get a life.

Can I just say that 'Ton' was indeed cheered up but nearly had a heart attack in the process (only kidding).

Can I just apologise now for the Gary Barlow thread hijack. If I'd have known, I'd have started a brand new thread, and it would have been the most popular I'd ever begun. 😳

anyhow, I'm still convinced this is the place, or at least one of them. His brother still has a roofing contractors place next door.
