Hi all..

Following This thread a few weeks back, we are meeting at the visitor centre for around 9.30 hoping to get going by about 10am.

VC Details here.

As before.... VERY easy pace and Very relaxed social ride. Just need to get an idea of numbers to try and see if we need to split group / get a few leaders etc.

Cheers all and see you there.

I'll be there, don't mind leading a split group if needed.I'll also be taking the proper camera(no guarantee of proper photo's though 😀 ).
It would be a good idea to bring the Avon sss if last Sunday was anything to go on, lots of midgie things.
Email in profile if needed.

Mark I don't have a working SS!

That and I'm needed till midday 🙁 going to try to get over for the end but can't promise)

Perhaps Benji can come and lift my wife in & out of her wheelchair so I can be a real man and just go and ride when I want.

what is the distance route and hillyness/flatness
I am considering bringing my very young kids [ 6 & 4} who cant really do much climbing uphill or downhills [ without face planting] but can do flat for about 5-10 miles at a very liesurely place
Suitable??

Johnny, It can be any distance you want- there are plenty of bail out points, and as for terrain, there are only a cpouple of climbs, that aren't exactly difficult..

If I can get around on a SS then anyone can...

Have you ascertained yet if Ton *wants* to be cheered up?

I for one quite like being a miserable grump sometimes, although not enough to make me happy, obviously.

Went out in Delamere yesterday, and I'd recommend bringing kneepads and elbow pads if you have them. Not primarily for shredding the gnar, but the brambles are wicked!

For those of you who've not visited before, here's a taster of what to expect, filmed yesterday.

Won't be able to make this lads. I'm riding in the Lakes on Friday and Saturday (plus it's the Stavely Beer festival on Friday Night 😉 )

I broached the subject with the camp commandant and to say I got a 'frost response' would be putting it mildly 🙁

so have a good un and see you soon

Graeme Jones - I'm on bended knee asking you to save me one of those (what's a BFO BTW?)

PSA: Everyone bring earplugs, 'cos I'll be screaming like a banshee tomorrow.

Hora If you don't turn up tomorrow, the above excuse will be your best yet.
