I've always fancied putting together a little video of riding to the local brewery for some beer.
Renegade recently launched a growler, so seemed like the perfect time to put it together.
The ridings tame, but highlights my local riding across the Ridgeway.

Really enjoyed that. Could've been anywhere round my way in S.Oxfordshire with all that beech. Great video.

near where I live. It seems they poured you the wrong beer. Maharaja IPA is the one on the left.

That is brilliant, really enjoyed it.
I ride those trails near Hampstead Norreys, good to see you tackle the foot bridge over the stream as well.
Top marks.

Love Maharaja, but Mr Chubbs for me when riding 😀

Beeline Velo 2. Great little unit; https://global.beeline.co/pages/beeline-cycling

Cheers! A little sketchy with 800mm bars.

Nice!

Out of interest, what are the bars you’re running?

Excellent! I enjoyed that although I’d have had a growler on the other side too - for balance of course..

Stooge Junker 85mm rise. They're actually 820mm width 😀 . Chunky and a little short on space for controls/accessories but lovely shape.

Nice. I've thought of doing similar as there are very fun and picturesque trails between home and a certain Scottish craft brewery. But my attempts at self filming never look good.

Loved the video, what I’d the fork bottle holder and growler you’re using?

That's a lot better than the usual self-filmed edits. Nice, (and I enjoyed the other review vids too).

Cage on fork looked like Blackburn Outpost.

Cheers for the kind comments. Wasn’t expecting anyone to really watch it. Was just an idea I couldn’t shake. Recommend anyone to do it. I found it therapeutic.

Yup, Blackburn Outpost. Great piece of kit at a reasonable price.

Will take any 64oz Growler. This one’s the Renegade branded one. Not a bad price given it includes a fill up.

Good video, great cuts, kept the riding interesting. Bet that took a while to edit. Great beerbabe frame bag.

Couldn't watch with sound as a work so can't comment on that.

Does the growler have a blow off valves to account for the shaking?

Cheers- took about an hour post ride on my phone to edit. Not too bad.

It doesn't! Thankfully Good Old Boy is a pretty flat ale. It was pretty fresh out so I guess that helped.
No issues pouring my first pint post ride.

Lovely video. Nice job on the editing - I've not filmed anything for years as I just couldnt be bothered with that part of it.

I won't lower the tone by admitting what my mind first went to about the meaning of 'growler' though.

I make a few videos of me trying to learn trials riding. This was my most recent one, tried to do something different with it, rather than just documenting how bad at trials riding I am!

Maybe there should be a riding videos thread - I just don't want to be the one to start it!

Subscribed! I like your stuff @rocketdog
I see you've still got the Swift. That's got to be some years old now!
What do you use to film? The sound & quality is great.

14 or 15 years old now I think

It's an ancient GoPro hero 7 edited on Corel video software

I was expecting a more NSFW link as you tried to fill the growler...

Nice video, nice idea, nice trails, nice bicycle and a nice seasonal feel. In summary, I'd have to say, nice.

I think it depends on what part of the country you come from?

Absolutely love that video. Real feel of old school just riding MTB and beer.

My creative curiosity wonders did you go with someone to setup the ride by shots or did you ride ahead, set up and re ride and what did you use to film (phone, action cam etc).

Kids always keen to do some video of riding so wondering what I can learn as loved the style of that. 🙂

choice of words in the title made me think this video should be on a "hub" site.

Trying to shake of a nasty dose of the flu, and that’s cheered me right up. Even made me want to make stew and dumplings.

All filmed on an iphone 13 by myself. As you say, just stand it up and cycle past then rinse and repeat. I used Inshot to edit it on my phone after the ride. Took about an hour.

I was trying to explain to my wife what I was actually going out to do/film.. whilst she stared at me with a raised eyebrow 😀
