God, look at those weeds.

Thanks to everyone who recommended me bits and pieces, and for dealing with my stupidity over certain matters. Have had great fun building it, and cant wait to ride it properly. In the Alps on it in 10 days as well. Cant wait.

Yep, but the sidewalls come fairly close to the frame. Not close enough to be a worry, but add a bit of mud and you might get worn chainstays.

Yes, sorry about that nbt, but I still like gears.. Maybe for the winter though..

Nice garage door, but you need to do something about those weeds.

Bike looks good, but I'd have a shorter stem and flat pedals (although of course it's your bike).

Nice. WHat rings you got upfront? And are there spacers in there to fill in the space left by the big un?

Middleburn 26 and 38. No spacers, its the same as if youd just taken the big ring off. Mech is locked out so it doesnt allow an over shift, works perfectly. Although I may increase the BB height so the mech isnt so high - the mech itself cant come any lower without touching the frame.

How come you've got the saddle pointing up towards your balls like on a dirt jump bike but much higher?

these bikes are sweet... tails does the flower arrangment that you have fitted to the bars get heavy when it rains ???? i bet it makes a good cushion/air bag type thing when you come off though.. good idea i think i will fit one... just one last question.. how long does it take to grow to a decent size for it to be affective ??

Well before I took the photo I was out testing it on the local dirt jumps, so I had raised the saddle angle and lowered the seat. Before I took the photos, I raised the saddle, but forgot to adjust the angle a bit. Its at a more normal angle now.

Cheers jfeb. Havnt been on a bike in a while, but the ride wasnt too tough on me. Glad to say I havnt become completely fat and slow in the time its taken me to build the bike up.

Yeah, tails your one looks very nice as well. Did toy with the idea of getting white, but figured it would look awful once it got muddy. So I just got white grips instead.. 😕
