Has anyone been? What's it like? I'm not the gnarliest rider by any stretch but will have a go at most things.
I was at Revolution this weekend just gone and managed to do the reds and most of the blacks (but not the pro lines)
Will I die?

I've been.
It's really good. It's a step up from revos in difficulty but it's a similar style of riding.
There's not much (nothing) to ride except the jump line if you're struggling with the other 3 tech lines.

Top section looks mental. And the camera smooths things out too!

It's a step up from any other bike park in the UK and requires a high level of skill and confidence. The jump line can be rolled by anyone but you'd get pretty bored if that's all you could do. The Slab track isn't that bad tbh and seems overgraded for a triple black. The chute of doom was more serious and harder to ride imo.

I have to commend them for building a bike park like this because it is great to have but probably excludes 90% of the regular bike park crowd.

The bottom bit looks rideable, but I'd be dead well before I got there 😮

Makes sense if they want to make money out of the park.

I need to see if those gents have made some videos of places I know to compare - because on camera it looks challenging but fun! However it might just me being deceived...

I like Jim's modestness. I think it might be fairly tough as he's no slouch on a bike - https://www.rootsandrain.com/rider34147/jim-buchanan/results/

I was speaking to someone who had spoken to Dan at the a park and they said Dan wanted to limit the amount of easier stuff as they are the source of the most Ambulance visits (at other places).

Yup. They pretty much queue up at Swinley on a Bank Holiday weekend. Its hard to hurt yourself too bad at walking pace or indeed walking.

This is true, taking to trail center staffers not just because of attracting inexperienced riders; experienced riders can feel confident enough to build up big speed on easier trails, so making a mistake is more likely to break something...

I met Jim at an enduro race some years back - he got bumped down a podium place by a mate of a mate who was racing under someone else’s entry in the wrong age class!

Watching Rachel ride that trail in that video is amazing, real skill, love the endless moving of the back wheel and the way she keeps speed.

The guy in the yellow t-shirt in that video is a complete dick for filming himself whilst driving.

Given he rides a bike for a living it can’t have escaped his notice the number of us that are hit, injured or worse by distracted drivers.

What a prize tool.
