Interesting to see what Brendog gets up to next.
yes i saw that on pinkbike. wasn't sure what to say really. claudio has other priorities on after his crash?
TBH I had no idea when they put out their "10 years of Scott's not quite factory team" they were quitting, I thought it was just another retrospective.
I'll miss Claudio in the booth more than Brendog on track, he rarely seems to make the TV cut these days, although there's no reason why either of them might not follow the circus next year.
It's easy to be negative, a few teams have pulled out of WC DH over the years, it's in the decline and all that, but it's actually not, it's gone from strength to strength since RedBull took over, and increased audiences by 50% last year, even with the silly qualifying rules (now gone). Scott may want a full in-house factory team, Brendan can always sell bikes even if he can't win World Cups so I'm sure he'll have offers.
There could be a Scott factory team instead.
That's a shame. I have to find another team to root for now.
Hopefully Claudio will still be active on the DH circuit with the commentary.
I agree, I don't we will see his talky cams any more. Get the feeling that he really got shook up with his off last year.
Word on Pinkbike is that Brendan will at Scott factory team, for what that's worth.
I've heard through one of the many southern French grapevines that Scott and VV Racing are an item. Brendog + an Aussie, probably Dean Lucas + a French junior rider. Cabirou has been seen on a shiny new scott roadie although she's still messing in the woods on Mondrakers for the time being at least.
BF is still contracted to Scott, the VV team have been brought in house as a factory racing team. Although there might be a few new sponsors, looking at what they are riding.
