unfortunately for chumba, plenty just as functional bikes that are much more appealing, only a weirdo would buy that just to be the only person with one.

Eh? I can't imagine a situation where you would EVER need or want a BB that high off the ground! Combined with the steep head angle, it's almost as if it was designed for a 190mm long shock, but they stuck a 200mm one in just for laughs!

It's certainly not function over form... Both Function AND form are IMO highly questionable...

The BB is 13.75 on the new model, is that really that high? The HA is 67 on the new model, again not slack enough? This frame is one of Chumba's longest standing designs and has evolved and tweaked over the years.

The EVO might be UGLY and unconventional, but everyone who has ever ridden one says they ride great, and is stiffer than most other bikes in its class. The old EVO's higher BB actually felt ok when on the bike, certainly not the complete no no you describe.

How longs that stem? Id only expect that barge tiller from a German manuf.

aye, don't know what they were thinking with that stem! I told them to make sure it was short!

It wouldnt look a high BB if it had a normal crankset on it... "could it be that, its just an illusion" as the song goes.. 🙂

It's fugly but no fuglier than the Orange 5s that everyone on here seems to rave about.

anyway, Chumba have a new 6" AM frame in the making, not to replace the EVO as that will be going much more FR. New frame is top secret though 🙂

I always think that granny ring sized Hammerschmidt looks a bit silly. Couldn't they have made it bigger just for aesthetic reasons?

Heather Bash - read your post again. Now that's pointless.
