I think its great the rain knocked the top guys down. Makes the battle to win harder and gives less well known riders a chance in the spotlight.
Its mountain biking FFS, weather, trail conditions, mechanicals, crashes all play a part.
If you remove them it would be like road racing 🙂
Trimix - I reckon if you watch a road race you'll see that those things have a big impact in road race results too! (Substituting trail conditions to road conditions!)
