Bit slippy at the moment, no?

Or am I just incredibly lucky to find its limits?

Thought I'd spotted a really nice line too 😆

From below, it's a bit more obvious there's been a bit of water running down thew top slab!

I've never found any of the rock at Dalbeattie to be slippy Jon, it's properly grippy, especially on skin!

especially on skin!

uhhuh.

The line I tried was, top slab, slight diagonal from right-of-centre towards right hand side. Nice and smooth, gave me a little runout before the second slab.

All the other rocks seemed grippy as, so I might have tried it a little too fast/ambitious. Who knows. The rock definitely wasn't clean gritstone from below, looked like waters been running down it and stuff growing a little.

Also, looked a little steeper but more straightforward to start far left and go straight down both without pausing.

Anyway, lesson learned. Pads on even when they're still wet!

They can get pretty damn sketchy when the water helps the green stuff grow on them. I've certainly had the clacker valve going big time in those conditions!!

Last time I did them the main central line down the top one was obviously dodgy from a visual inspection. Headed right and through a puddle to far more grip down that side...
