So for some reason I’ve signed up for this as a team, despite not having ridden my mtb in over 2 years. I did it back in 2013 but can’t remember much about it
From memory the climbs are mainly fireroad, the descents not too technical, and the lap is 10 miles ish? Is there a course map for this year available?
How does the timing work? As I recall if you’ve started your last lap before 10 hrs is up you get 1 hr to complete it. Or have I made that up?

You forgot the midgies, risk of heat stroke and or hypothermia. Otherwise I think you're about right but I last did one a lifetime ago.
You get a timing chip that has to register as you cross the timing line...after that, up to you and your team where you change. They tweaked the course a couple of years back to remove some of the fireroad climb - which made it feel better. I think first lap is about 8 miles and main laps are about 10.5 miles.
You have 1 hour to complete the lap you are on at the end bell...if you don't finish in that time then that laps doesn't count.
