Thinking about one of these for a general do it all bike, gravel, light touring, winter trainer etc. One thing I wont be using it for is CX racing!

Any thoughts on versitility?

thanks

It should be decent for that IMO.

I use one for everything you've described except the light touring but including a bit of racing. It's very good. Recommended.

Feels more like a CX race bike to me, like it's quite high. I do all those things you say (apart from touring) on it no problem - it's also been my main road bike this year.
But if you're definitely not racing it might not be my first choice, prob look at one of the gravel bikes in the first instance for a more neutral geometry.

2500 miles on mine so far, road, gravel and even a couple of laps of the green route in Brechfa without any problems.

I've got about 5k miles on one and it's been ace at the stuff the OP lists. I put lighter wheels and Spyres on mine and got rid of the nasty BB30. It's my fave knockabout boik.

I have a 2011 one, has been used for two touring trips, which it handled fine! Has also seen its fair share of bridleways and gravel, and was my only 'road' bike for a while.I've done about 3k miles on it. Would recommend, don't know if newer ones have rack mounts though?
Edit: ah yeah, I got rid of bb30 quite promptly too!
