I have a nice new Turner Flux frame , only problem is the rear post mount will not take my xtr 975 caliper. I really should have checked but did'nt. Looking closely suggests it won't fit with any adaptor. I am wondering if another shimano post mount rear caliper would take the xtr 975 hoses and sort this out - any thoughts please?

Not sure without seeing it, but may be worth checking Hope's HBSM-20H adaptor, but you will probably need a 20mm larger rotor too.
