Evening all,

Anyone able to point me in the direction of a mount that will allow me to put a shimano caliper (latest xt) on my fox 32 post mount correctly with the 185mm rotor I have already got?

You can't use the avid mounts due to the angle they are drilled at that then use the tri align washers on an avid to correct...

Don't really want to fork out for a new rotor 🙁

Any help greatly appreciated

Paul

Use a Shimano 180...

BUT use some avid tri-align washers (or anything the right size) to space the caliper another 2.5mm away from the axle. Works perfectly fine and I've done if before.

I use 185mm disks with a 180mm mount. I just have a couple of washers between the adapter and the caliper.

Cheers for this guys, will do this if I have to... but I need to order a mount whether it be 180mm or a 185 one anyway so holding out for the possibility that someone makes one?.. does anyone know if there is a 185 mount that will fit?

Will buy a 180mm and use washers if not.

The expensive & long winded option is to order one from a company called North Shore Billet in the USA. Alternatively, use a 180mm adaptor, some longer bolts and a few flat washers between the adaptor and caliper to get the spacing right.

Ah nice, they do different anodised ones too... but $30 + postage stuff that!!!! I'll dig out some washers.

Just ordered a shimano one for £7 off of ebay. I'll go and buy some beers with the change from $35

Just use your 160mm one and lots of washers 😛

Could have used a hope 183mm mount. Tollerance stack up might have been enough or at least it would have needed fewer washers.
