You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi, staying just outside Gaisgill in couple of weeks time and first time in area. Any recommendation for riding, ideally from the door. Nothing long, just something to fill a cheeky hour or two if can escape family duties. Looks like some paths up Tebay fell and Langdale fell on OS maps. These rideable and whats the score with access? Home is north of the border and i can ride anywhere i damn like!
Thanks
The Howgills fells aren't too far a drive from there. Worth doing if you've never done the route before.

Cheers Rich they look handy for cycling from the door. What kind of terrain? Singletrack, etc?
mostly single track not used that much so need to keep a close eye on the train,l small bit of road at the end! You will not see anyone out there so be prepared! 🙂
Howgill area in the magazine this month, got mine through the post yesterday.
It is good both ways and good enough to do twice. Plenty of rocks.
Cheers Rich, managed to do that loop, thanks for the info. Some fairly tough climbs but worth it.
