I've had an Evoc Bike bag since Christmas. I bought it new from mountainbiker.at.
It's the multi coloured one.
It's been on 2 flights.
It's got 4 rips in the outer material. No more than 4cm but I'm sure they will get worse.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Is this a warranty issue?
It was bought in Austria and the bag is in the uk so a bit of a pain to send it there.
If wear and tear (shocking for a bag so new) what should I use to fix it?

Gaffer tape.

Good to know though, I had one on my purchase list for this year.

Luck of the draw I guess. Both of ours are torn & beaten up a fair bit after 2 flights each.

They are crap, but they are probably the best of a crap bunch of products.

A decent, shrink film wrapped, well packed cardboard box would stand up to more abuse I feel.

The bag itself is amazing mind. It makes taking your bike abroad easy.
I have no problem at all with the design - a well thought out and easy to use bag that protects your bike well.

My CRC one looks tatty after a similar ammount of flights.

Not the bags fault, I suspect it's just because it's big and gets jammed agaisnt sharp edges on the luggage conveyors.

I put a cut down cardboard box inside the bag, means removing the forks though (and means it's knocking on 32kg with a 30lb bike inside and a few spares).

Not worth crying about though.

Mine got torn and Mrsstu's didn't the first time we used them.
After a few more flights they're both looking a little battered but no worse than the bags they replaced.

2 return flights in for mine (and another in the family)

Still look good as new, so luck of the draw I guess?

Interesting. I was planning an Evoc but I have heard of them tearing. It's a lot of money to spend for something that seems to rip quite easily and after a couple of flights.
Maybe I'll just stick with my Neil Pryde bag that cost me £80 fifteen years ago and has been on the best part of forty flights and is still in great condition.

Does sound luck of the draw as my Evoc and even my old crc cycle bags have barely a mark on after several flights!

where about are the rips on it? Corners?

Mcnetts tenacious tape. Think I used some pu glue on it as well first.

The rips are quite random. One l shaped is very close to the edge. The others are on the sides there's two on the wheel pockets and one to the left of the wheels.

Bum, I've just bought an evoc (£240 at cycle surgery if you are interested) Went for it because of good reviews here and a hard box would be so much heavier. Think I will accept damage to the bag with a 'shit happens' attitude and be happy if my bike is fine inside.
