Also bikes..

Congratulations to Chris with Team Hoppy in 1st, Rorschach finally losing the top spot in the last few days to get 2nd with The watchmen, and Dominic coming in 3rd with Tour De Briz. I had to settle for a lowly 14th. Bloody Evans.

And of course, I'm already looking forward to next year.

I’ve always been someone who wishes to move on to new challenges. Now that I’ve conquered my first Tour de France it’s time to attempt a feat that has only been accomplished three times in the history of the Tour. I want to wear yellow from the prologue all the way to the Champs-Elysées next year

Did Cav deliberately where shorter shirts to show off his tan lines in Paris?!

I thought that, didn't he say his leg was a bit swollen after the crash with the flag waving spectator? I put 2+2 together an d made 5 and assumed maybe he was wearing some larger off the shelf shorts rather than some custom fitted ones which the pro's presumably get seeing as it's hard enough finding shorts that fit let alone being tied to one brand?

It looks like a skinsuit to me and so the fit will be slightly different to his normal jersey+shorts combo.

It was great to see Bradley gunning it on the lead out though I wasn't sure Cav would make it after E B-H dropped him off a bit early,

[edited] got my wires crossed as to who was saying what

Wiggins:

I know that I’ve promised Chris (Froome) that he could have a shot at the Tour in 2013 and that I’d support him, but I think my goals are more important than his. After all, I’m higher on the seniority scale in GB Cycling and I don’t feel I’ve reached my peak yet

If you're really quiet you can hear that.............

Sounds like a Lead Zepplin going down at Cateaux Froome.

no doubt it was discussed at the time, but has the human ear ever experienced worse singing than during the national anthem yesterday?

anyways, amazing photo in the first post, and the linked sets.

Thanks to realman. Great daily thread.
Rewatched the finish and watch brads face as he crosses the line.. just looks more relieved than anything.. almost an anti climax? He looked happier winning the tt.. not to say he won't be elated and I guess it will take a few weeks to really realise what he has achieved.

You realise that's from a satire site?

beej - was going to post the same. The problem with that site is that SOME articles aren't satire and I've seen some of their stuff quoted elsewhere which is obviously a joke.
