Once again, Cav wins with a lone breakaway.. Brilliant. He makes it look so ridiculously easy.

he could have read ST while he waited for the rest to cross the line, just a win in Paris to top it off

not that he's rubbing it in by saying he's been sick for 4 days 🙂

1. PETACCHI Alessandro 213 pts
2. HUSHOVD Thor 203 pts
3. CAVENDISH Mark 197 pts

Cavendish for green....?

Its going to be very close, no matter what happens.

Cavendish won't get any points tomorrow and I doubt Petacchi will finish out of the 5 in Paris. I'm guessing Cav will be 2nd in the points again.
Would love to be proved wrong though..

You do get a lot of points for a win tho don't you? Although have we ever actually seen Cav content for sprint points?

it's going to be bloody close.

clever tactics from Cav, sitting on Hushovd till he saw Petacchi go, and then attacking himself.

Hushovd will be kicking himself, though respect is due for hauling his ass up the mountains this week to pick up some points....

Maybe that's why he didn't look as strong today though....

That'll be Sunday afternoon sorted then. go on Cav!

Cavendish has to win and Petacchi has to come 5th or worst to win the green jersey. Could happen.

Did you see todays sprint?? No proper lead out, Cav jumped from back wheel to back wheel of his rivals and then left everyone for dead - he was still pulling away from them whilst celebrating crossing the line!

his start to the tour and his season wasn't great. once again though he's proved to be the outstanding sprinter of the current contenders. he'll need some luck on his side to take the points victory, counting on other riders to loose it really.

Recon he'll come second.

Can't see Hushovd finishing close to Cav on Sunday.

And with Petacchi's upcomming dopping investigation Cav might end up with it by default?

You know when you go to disney world in Paris (or disney land whatever the ****), and you go through the gates 120 quid less well off than you used to be and there's music playing and furry animals dancing about and a girl offering you soft drinks?

There's usually someone trying to ask you questions about where you live and why you've come. It's often a wholesome french girl with a little sexy smile who's been chosen because her pretty face and tight ass makes you weak in the head and you realise someone is trying to fool you, you shake your head, punch the girl in the face and RUN, RUN, RUN!!!!! You leave youe wife and kids behind to be captured but the important thing is you save yourself because there's some evil lurking under the surface. You know it's there, you keep seeing it out of the corner of your eye!!!!!

Yes? Then you'll be with me in recognising there is evil under the surface of the TdF. It's not the drugs or Contador or lance with his dimpled suits. It's not the racist French people or the useless brits and it's not even Cav despite him rolling over the line in the last stage looking over his shoulder because he is so much better than everyone else and he knows it.

It's hollywood. WTF was that little shit Cruise doing there? And Diaz? Who'd get it, but WTF was she doing there? Remember last year, it was Sadler! Eh? Piss off! I'm watching a bike race, I don't want to see useless ****ers putting their arms round men who know pain like no other on earth. I've no interest in seeing someone completely bury themselves while they lynch their opponents up 1 in 4 hills associate themselves with people who earn 40 million for doing 17 hours work.

Riding a tour takes a year off your life. Acting badly in a film just makes you richer. I fail to see the association between the two groups of people and I'd like to call a stop to it now please.

Just back from the pub, so haven't digested the last post properly, but have you got any pics of the wholesome french girl with the pretty face and tight ass?
Cheers.
