Should be a good one!!!
Four Cat 1's and a Cat 2
Prospects for the final day - some of the Dutch are actually bigging up Kenny van hummel (Lantern rouge) to beat Cav and Hushovd!!!!
Jens Voigt suspected broken cheek bone - at least he's alright
Just a broken cheek bone? I suppose although he was going so fast, he slid for ages. Those sparks..
RealMan - MemberJust a broken cheek bone? I suppose although he was going so fast, he slid for ages. Those sparks..
That was from Jens' titanium scandium testicles.....
every time I see the replay I grit my teeth !

Bit like Jens...
Poor Cadel, he's knackered
Is Hushovd going to blow up today? What does he think he's doing? good job if he can keep it up though...
reasons for Hushovd to go, first he ends any chance of Cav getting green. He may also be there to help Sastre later in the day.
Hushovd trying to prove a point by going for intermediate sprint (possibly sprints, but another Cat 2 in the way and 50+km), saying " I would have got green anyway, and that Cav boyo better buck up his act before mouthing off again" ❓
Poor Cadel, he's knackered
Poor Cadel nothing, the guy has had ample chances to win the tour on a few occasions but he is incapable of making a tactical descision or too attack when it matters,
Even when he realised it was slipping away from him yesterday he never hit the fornt of the group to limit his losses
I dont know if its a lack of confidence or fitness but he is a follower
You can guess i am not a fan !!
tragically1969- thats me told then! I dont think he could hit the front yesterday, I am a fan of Cadel but was being slightly ironic. I think he maybe should become another Cunego- not quite good enuf for GC, but stage winner/ classics man.
Anyway, nice idea by Thor to rub Cavs nose in it
agreed that Thor has a point to prove, he's never going to outsprint cav on the flat stages but doesn't want to win the jersey by default after what looks like a hissy fit (LOOKS like a hissy fit, the judgement was correct in my book)
Yep, I think it's safe to say the green jersey's now stain free.
every time I see the replay I grit my teeth !
Bit like Jens...
pure evil 🙂
oops, someones taking it a little easier now
Get Menchov some stabilisers!
Menchov's having a 'mare! the mechanics haveing a good look at his bike to make sure nothings wrong- at about 100kmh 😉
😯 he's just nearly killed himself now 😯
Surely the novelty of tarmac surfing must be wearing off by now 🙂
how does assistance from the mechanic while still on the move work- just watched the mechanic adjusting menchov's brakes out the car window while holding onto the seatpost, obviously the bike is only moving cos the car is towing it. Is there a formal rule for this assistance?

I think the "rule" is don't take the piss, commisaires discretion
and they killed kenny!
Di Luca's taking a holiday by the sound of things.
yup
EPO
silly boy getting caught
Carlos goes, come on Wiggo dig in son!
Sastre's dropped back...
Wiggo is benchmarking himself against Armstrong, who he'll see as the bigger threat in the TT tomorrow. Doing well too.
A Schlek and Contedor are 20s up the road.
Sounding like another good day for Wiggins - just WHERE did this come from? Totally out of the bag! (as in the overall performance, not just today's)
Would you put money on him to win the TT tomorrow?
in my opinion wiggo's performance has come from his BC training for the 'lympics. same with Cav, it's just given them the edge.
I would, but he won't get anything on his rivals overall...
at the moment brad could be in 5th by the end of the day - not so good. hopefully they'll regroup on the descent.
Even so, 3rd and a stage win would be pretty nice!
they've gone. Brilliant stuff
is brad saving himself for the final climb?
has he hit his limit?
we'll soon find out!
So can Brad make up any of the minute or so that he has lost to Kloden?
Kloden, Lance, and Brad are all meant to be good dh.
I've run out of finger nails to bite. Moving onto my toes soon.
lance definatley means business today, race face firmly on
You've got to admire him. He doesn't need the money, so basically it's just an enjoyable hobby now, but he can still kick arse 🙂
Sastre put a good effort, and highlights how quickly and easilly things change.
I wonder if they ever consider running sealant?
"Kloden, Lance, and Brad are all meant to be good dh"
Nibali just dropped them, but he comes from the big mountains so should do
yup, that's big balls stuff
Respect
curses, I have lost my live feed... nothing is working...
The computer I'm currently "working" on won't take the letour live feed either. 🙁 What's going on?!
it's worth the £3 for eurosport player 🙂
Dunno, sat at home in the middle of an ad break 🙂
#
15:45 - 22km - The first kilometer is the easiest with an average gradient of 6%.
#
15:44 - 23km - The leaders hit the Col de la Colombiere. From Le Reposoir, the cat one mountain climbs at an average gradient of 8.5% over 7.5 kilometers.
#
15:42 - 24km - Nibali has thrown caution to the wind on the descent and has pulled away from Wiggins and Armstrong.
#
15:40 - 25km - Linus Gerdemann, Floyd Landis, Mario Aerts, Marco Pantani, Richard Virenque, Piotr Ugrumov and Thierry Claveyrolat have been the men over the top of the Col de la Colombiere in the past 20 years.
#
15:38 - 26km - Sastre has punctured on the descent and that adds insult to injury for the defending champion.
#
15:36 - 27km - The Sastre group is at 2:49 and also includes the leading Frenchman on GC, Christophe Le Mevel.
#
15:34 - 28.5km - A Schleck-F Schleck-Contador-Kloden in that order over the summit. The gap is 1:03 to Nibali-Vande Velde-Wiggins-Armstrong.
Sod it, I may just have to head off to the brew room and catch it on proper Eurosport...
The Schleks have it just like they wanted, but I don't think they can break Contedor...
the schlecks, contador and kloden now 1.20 up on brad/armstrong
Come on Brad/Lance!
how's Andy Schleck's time trial?
15:49 - 20km - 1:25 is the gap to the Armstrong-Wiggins group who are two minutes ahead of the next group on the road (you can see who is in that on the graphic).
could be wishful thinking but contador seems a little more uncomfortable than usual
yeah he does
but so does wiggo 🙁
1548: Contador is looking very comfortable and you can't see him losing yellow today,
Just in on the BBC feed... LOL
Move coming up kloden/Contador
how quickly it all changes!!!!!
wiggo's lost his support
Nibali up from nowhere! Where is Kreuziger in all this?
Lance and Wiggo hanging on by their finger tips at the moment!
contador attacks
contador goes
Contador struggling?
Contador moves on the Schlecks!! They're back!!!!!
Silly tit! Contador's just dropped Kloden!!!
good good, the more they mess around like this the better for wiggo
Kloden can't respond to Schlecks and Bertie's push.
Go Wiggo, Go!
and goes nowhere
C'mon Schlek bros, money where mouth is please.
thank you.
I think Contador's going to win - I really am starting to dislike him!! Come on the Schlecks!!!
kloden's as good as stopped!
bugger
Lance is jumping the gap again!! Bloody hell!!!!!!!!!!! 😆
lance drops wiggo
classic armstong stuff
15km of dh will be exciting.
Wweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Fair play to Lance really.
Amazing!
