Going 1st week in August, is the hire shop at Barnstaple station the best place to go?

Torrington has a bike shop with bikes to hire at the old station if you want to start inland.
We have stopped there for coffee a couple of times.

Fremington Quay also has bike hire - depends where you are based

There's a bike hire at Torrington Station, Bideford near the Blacksmiths Arms, Fremington station, Barnstaple station & Braunton near the police station.
