About to purchase a Cotic Soul, but confused about fork choice.

I have a Fox 120MM 32 tapered from my EX8 2012, that I could bolt straight on, but really wanted to run a longer fork (otherwise I'll have two bikes that are fairly the same) and can't really be a''ed changing them constantly.

All the longer tapered forks with travel adjust are really expensive, but I can get a straight steerer Sektor for £260. Will I really lose much stiffness by choosing a straight steerer?

120mm is perfect for a Cotic.

You already have the ideal fork for a bike like that. Longer doesn't add much, imo it adds nothing.

At least give the fox a try to see how you like it first. I suspect you will like it.

Re the stiffness tbh you will really stuggle to notice the difference. I have a trek remedy 2012, did not get on with the drcv forks so changed them to some RS revs 120/150 straigh tube, tbh I can not tell the difference and the ability to reduce the travel to 120mm on the climbs has made a big difference for me.
