Following on from the STW advert at the top of the page, lets see your on/off road, rigid suspension tandems.
I don't know what it is about tandems they always make me smile, and no I don't own one

If someone can host me a couple of images I can bang up one of the old Los Dos on which we started Tandaming and then the new Ventana with S&S couplings.

Thanks. The mud build up that day left us with three working gears at the end: fortunately middle ring and three in the center of the block.

Them tyres were just too big for the frame.

Ooh ooh great photos.

We rode our second ever tandem night ride last night and nbt cleared a very tricky descent, was stoked up after (get it?) had my heart rate up I can tell you. Went to bed feeling very happy.

I think the time where my heart rate really goes up (not effort related) is when the back end goes and I think I'm about to be overtaken by the stoker. Its errrrr exciting when piloting so goodness knows what that feels like when you are the stoker!

Question for all stokers:

I find that without a crud catcher on a frame tube somewhere, I'm getting wet and cold from spray and mud coming up from the front/middle. Where should I put one (have one on the back tyre, so that bit is fine)?

1976 the hot summer built up an old track/fixed tandem which we got off my mates uncle and rode it to school we got banned and sold it for peanuts
