Which one would be the most fun on dry summer trails?

Depends where you ride. Tallboy is very very very good by the way, probably the best bike I've ever ridden. If you're anywhere near the Peak District 18 bikes have a large demo Tallboy.

Tallboy for rocky rough stuff, Jones for smooth singletrack stuff.

I'd go for the JJ just because you'll never see another being ridden at the same time and its funky! 😀
I hope you have big pockets?

Very kind of you Taz but i think a 35t is a bit too much for my "not been out on a singlespeed much in the last 12 months" legs. 😳
Though I could try in on my fatbike? Would it work with an upper chainguide on a 1x9 setup?

ton - good thanks.

So you wouldn't be seen dead on a Jones 🙂

Although, I ride a Jones geo clone, with shorter CS's it has to said (Wolfhound)

Tazzy,

I'm off to BQ tomorrow to buy a wheel barrow so you can chop that to bits to fit a fat wheel and then I can give that Scandal a good home again! 🙂

I demo'd a tallboy on Wednesday and it's a great bike, cruises through most stuff without much effort and seated the shock doesn't bob much. As with most 29ers the climbing seems a bit harder and it took me a while to get it off the ground... But that's a 29 thing, not bike specific.

Like others have said you're comparing chalk with cheese.

Ohh and I won't be buying a tallboy. Nice bike but just not me.
