So, my Mrs has decided she wants to get a stationary bike to do some spinning-style fitness sessions over the winter. I'm all for this since I'm still using a ratty old wheel-on dumb trainer and I'd like to upgrade for a decent Zwift experience.

I've suggested a Wahoo Kickr Core for ~£700. She wants a Peloton bike but rightly can't stomach the insane pricing and has been recommended a Schwinn IC8 as a decent spin class-style experience. The trouble is, those get pretty poor reviews for Zwift (over-estimating power and inaccurate power curve) so I don't think it's what I'd want and it's still a lot of money. I think a Wattbike Atom 2020 would tick all the options but it's still an awful lot of money (neither of us are super serious about training). There doesn't seem to be too many in-between options.

A standalone thing would be cleaner / tidier than using my bike on a turbo, since it'll live in a bedroom, and being able to change the seat / reach easily will be useful.

So:
Price < £1000
Easy to adjust between two differently-sized people
Good experience for Zwift and also some simple spinning programs / app compatibility
Ideally neat / compact

Are there any complete stationary bike options that are decent? Or should I just look for a decent smart turbo?

Comes in here to suggest 3 pairs of Nike Vaporfly Next%.
Reads thread properly.
A friend has a Wattbike Atom and loves it. Her and her husband both use it, and they’re different heights.

Yes. I want the Wattbike to cost £999 and I'd buy it. But I don't think I can stretch to the nearly £2k they now want for one.

I really don't understand the market for the dedicated trainer bikes, when you can get a good turbo and a entry level road bike to go on it for less money, you wouldn't be tied to a platform (peloton), and it'd pack away easier.

Saw the thread title and thought CFH was after new shoes for air travel!

Tbh I think you have mutually exclusive needs. I don't know much about that end of the market, but what I do know is that spin bike != Turbo
The flywheel effect on a spin bike makes it a very different experience.
My wife tried using a trainer for spin and it was too far from what she needed for that role.
