I realise this is a stupid question, but are Bottom Brackets the same?
Bear with me please...I have a 2004 Giant NRS running ISIS crankset and need to move away from this as the bearings are sh1te, however this entails new cranks.
I have been looking at an FSA set up with a BB30 bottom bracket,will I be able to fit this into a threaded shell or am better off going with Shimano Deore with an external BB?

bb30 is too large.
go with any ht2 bb -- i.e. external bb.
the deore will do the job just right

A BB30 system will not fit your bike. FSA do, however, do systems called Mega Exo which will work just fine. I'd just go Shimano, though.
