Off to Mallorca in April and want to take all my energy drinks etc with me. Will probably have a handful of gels, a 500g tub of sis electrolyte power and some high 5 fuel bars.

Gels being the only fluid has anyone had any issues with the baggage X-ray checks?

I guess it's down to the staff too! Gov.uk states no containers of liquid so I imagine powder is cool.

Lots of Gels in hand luggage could be a problem - stick it all in the hold for zero aggro

No it doesn't it states

If you do take liquids in your hand luggage:

containers must hold no more than 100ml
containers must be in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag, which holds no more than a litre and measures approximately 20cm x 20cm
contents must fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be sealed

Maybe not energy powder in individually wrapped bags like a guy who was going to La Marmotte did. French customs lady was not
amused!

BArs and powder should be ok. Gels will fall foul of the rules.

Plenty of bike shops over there to sort that kind of thing out.
