Off to the alps tonight - has anyone had issues with customs and bikes in vans?

Cheers

I always used to put the kids bike facing left, then the missus' bike to the right, then mine then other kid's bike. Worked well for years.

Until this year, when I've had to put mine inside the van. Felt a bit weird at first TBH, but I reckon we'll get used to it and before long it'll seem just like we've always done it that way.

👏 👏 👏

Customs are only likely to take note of you if you head to France with bikes on the back, come back with no bikes, head back with bikes loaded, etc. See how Richard Branson started Virgin.

Previously the done thing with trips to America was to head out there with no bike. Buy a new bike and claim the taxes off it, ride it out there and then bring back a used bike which attracts no taxes.

Now we are no longer part of the single market, I guess you can do that in France too.
