any advice on how to pack a bike for taking on a plane. thanks 🙂
spacer in rear dropouts, remove rear mech/hanger, pipe insulation round frame tubes if you want, cardboard in between frame and wheels, no need to deflate shock or tyres, put in bag/box.
Now go get a coffee 😎

Don't want to be a PITA but use the search function there have been loads of similar threads like this recently.
Keep the bike completely whole, bubble wrap, pipe lag the delicate bits and bobs.
Put into a giant size clear plastic bag.
Zip tie the bag up.

Everyting al said, plus I'd take off the chainset and disks. I've had both bent in transit before, and it's right PITA.
And yeah, this has been covered loads before.
We did what allmountainventure said above, with the addition of turning bars by 90deg and gaffer tape to top tube. Oh and slacken shifters/levers a bit so they can rotate. Oh and pedals off - stuck them in suitcase.
