Almost missed this on the BBC:
Really good article - sounds like she's really been through it over the last 12 months or so.
We should all probably take a bit more note of how we feel after an 'off'.
Interesting that it presented as depression & anxiety.
We should all call it a day after we've had a decent 'off' to be honest, but very few do. Especially if they're on a mountain biking holiday.
Yes interesting read and watch, incredibly brave also speaking out about the emotions of it and the mental struggle. I'm glad more and more sports are paying attention to the effects of concussion.
Great read. Thanks for posting op
Undoubtedly although I do feel that it is the individuals choice not a governing body or society in general.
A very interesting article - I've never suffered a concussion when cycling or doing any other activity. It's great that Tahnee has done this piece for the BBC.
I know almost nothing about concussion but I never imagined it would have or even could have psychological affects.
She talked about this in detail on the Making Up The Numbers Podcast last month, sounds really scary.

I read that a couple of days ago, found it really interesting.
I’ve just finished an 8 week placement (student occupational therapist) working with people who have brain injuries. It was a huge eye opener as to how much it affects people, even things like being able to speak properly or stand up.
