After a taggy for the boy, he's so heavy now I end up wheelying everywhere with him in his seat, we don't have a bike for him so want one of the single wheel ones.
However, I often see them where the tag leans one way or the other. I want one with a secure enough clamp to keep all three wheels in the same plane.
Any advice gratefully received...

the ones that are canted over are from poor fitting not design from all the examples I've seen.
If you're near Hove I have a Tag-a-long which you can have for £20.

I bought a cheap Spokey Joe from our local newspaper classifieds.
I replaced the cranks with shorter ones, the handlebars with flat ones (instead of the BMX bars it had) and the saddle with a smaller one.
I massivly overtightened the pivot bolts to take out any slack, and rather than have to undo them each time, I stuck a spare seatpost and saddle in the clamp, so I just switch posts over on my bike when required. (and rather than crushing my Gravity Dropper)
Fitted a 20" mudguard to the tagalong, and also a crud-catcher to the the front "downtube". Full-lenght mudguards on my bike would also work, but less convenient for using the bike elsewhere.
I use a handle-bar mirror whenever we use it, so I can keep an eye on him.
Its bloody ace!

The Burley Piccolo is rated as one of the best. The tagalong bike attaches to a rack on the parent bike so the connection is directly above the rear axle and the two bikes take the same line when cornering. Those that attach to seatposts cause the trailer to cut the inside of corners. However it does require rack mounts and is not the cheapest out there.
The Weehoo is a bit different - a recumbent tagalong. Much lower centre of gravity etc. 3 point harness.
Have one for my youngest - really works well.
